Straus Family Creamery

Founded in 1994 this creamery is a family-owned and operated business, dedicated to make the highest quality and minimally processed organic dairy products. Located in Marshall, CA they are the first 100% certified organic creamery in the United States.

A Straus cow’s life isn’t all that complicated. When the weather allows it, they spend the day out on pasture, overlooking Tomales Bay. At night and in wet or winter weather, the cows sleep in an open barn that is fitted with cushioned cow mats and natural bedding. Straus cows are in a closed herd, to avoid the risk of infections from outside, and they are never treated with hormones or antibiotics.
